First there was nothing…
And then there was Bernie’s hat.
As Bernie raced to a 6-1 first set over Daniel Evans, the hat looked comfortable in it’s own crooked way.
But then, things started getting dicey…
The hat looked concerned.
And provided it’s own pep talk to Bernie during changeovers.
But still, the hat looked defiant… though a little concerned that Dan Evans had every intention of vanquishing Bernie, even if the Brit spotted the future GOAT a set and a break lead to start the match.
As Dan Evans took the second set, Bernie’s hat expressed it’s frustration with how things were going.
The hat went for some extra crookedness, but it didn’t really help.
Little by little, an air of resignation started to invade the hat.
Though Bernie did have some hope of a turnaround.
But things kept getting worse and worse.
And more crookedness wasn’t helping.
The hat looked disheveled.
And needed an extra bit of rest during changeovers.
Things really didn’t look very good for Bernie and the hat.
So it was better to adopt a philosophical posture, and look to the horizon.
The hat was spared the ugly, bitter end.
Until next time, glorious Bernie hat. Until next time.
Bernie’s hat is so awesome
I remember seeing it in Sydney in the beginning of the year when I thought ‘head too big or hat too small?’
I think there has to be a nicer looking that will suit bernie well??
JJ, your updates on Bernie’s cap yesterday were so incredibly tedious. Perhaps you thought they were amusing, they really weren’t. Please concentrate on tennis, and give the ‘amusing asides’ a rest.
