In this week’s Changeover Podcast, Amy and Lindsay are having fun covering the Citi Open, so Brodie of Mind The Racket, and Juan José take over and talk Fognini, Svitolina, Cibulkova, Cirstea, doping, Federer’s cow and much more. The guys then play some true or false about various topics and Juan José rants about the WTA tournament structure.

Master Ace,
I almost picked Sori. I’m horrified that her draw is amazing and that she’ll win this tournament, pull out of Toronto and it be the most bittersweet thing ever. Still a ton of matches. That side of the draw is a total toss up.
Well done Brodie and Juan Jose for filling the void as Amy and Linz are having boatloads of fun in Washington.
On Fognini making ATP WTF, I do not think he will end up in the final 8 even if Federer does not qualify. Hardcourts will be his downfall as making finals 3 weeks in a row will be reflected in his play.
On the WTA point structure, I am going to give my interpretation on their structure as I like the ATP version much better. On the Mandatories, all players are required to play them if they are required. On the Premier 5s, requirements are limited to the Top 10 and the Top 10 is required to play in 4 of them and the one they do not play in, they are required to play the missing one in Year 2.

On tournaments below the Masters for ATP and Premier Mandatories/Premier 5 for WTA:
ATP 500s – No byes. WTA Premier – Byes for Top 2 or Top 4 depending on tournaments.
ATP 250s – Byes for Top 4 seeds. WTA International – No byes.
Wish the WTA would have no byes in their WTA Premier events and keep the no byes in their International events. As far as the ATP, do NOT make any changes.
