In a bizarre offseason move, John Isner has hired noted great guy and multiple mixed doubles Slam champion Justin Gimelstob as his new coach, per Ben Rothenberg.
My immediate reaction to the news was to celebrate the possibility of no longer having to listen to Justin Gimelstob’s nonsensical verbal vomit commentary, but no.
While coaching Isner, Gimelstob will continue to work as Tennis Channel commentator and ATP Board Member. That's a lot of hats for one head…

The reaction to the news on Twitter was about as expected:
hahahahahahahahahahaha

Dear John, if you're hiring Gimelstob as your coach, you're doing the whole "superstar coach" thing wrong.

the more shocking shorter version. MT @BenRothenberg: More news: Top American male John Isner.

If you think Gimmel is the solution to your problems…you've got some interesting problems.

Sweet Jesus Gimel?! Is that really the direction we want to be going in? #lolamericantennis

@MPF0ster @AmyFetherolf 'Gimelstob' could be Gimlets, Gimlet, Milestone, Gimlet's, Gimleting, Gamest, Gimleted or Gemstone.
