World No. 383 Marcus Willis, in action at the Knoxville Challenger this week, tweeted a screenshot of a nasty string of Facebook comments he had received. The heckler focused on Willis’ physique, calling him “Cartman,” the character from the TV show, South Park:
Loooool, this is the funniest one yet. Ugly is a bit harsh no?! #stinker pic.twitter.com/Kcr6RW9nhE

Instead of getting offended, Willis laughed off the insults, and started using the nickname.
@KeelanOakley me too, can u imagine burts reaction when I showed him! Cartman was unreal!

Cartman wins 76 67 76! What an epic! Off to eat some pies and ice cream before the dubs. #vamos

Considering that Willis won two extremely physical three-setters back-to-back against Fritz Wolmarans and Marcos Giron, his physique probably isn’t much of an immediate concern to the 24-year-old Brit. However, in a streamed interview with USTA Pro Circuit commentator Mike Cation, he said he would focus on fitness in the offseason to prepare for 2015.
