Lindsay, I’m not one of those Cilic fans, but he’s being undermined once again in the podcast. Last week he was ‘Euro-Isner’ which is kind of a diss to Cilic as he’s had much better slam results, more titles, etc. So if anything, Isner should be ‘American-Cilic’ (I know, doesn’t have the same ring to it though). And this week you said that he’s never been to QF of the AO. He actually made the SF in 2010 (when he lost to Murray if I remember correctly).

Never mind, just heard that JJ corrected you. Was thinking that if I waited until the end of the podcast, I would probably forget to say anything.

No worries topboy- I definitely deserve to be called out on that oversight a few times, it was a really bad one!

The “Euro-Isner” line from last week was actually a quote from a Wertheim article, but I did find it amusing. I am hard on Marin, I admit, but it’s because I keep picking him to win things and he never does!

Thanks for listening and for keeping me in line =)

Young guys can’t compete on the ATP tour because the majority of courts played on are sand paper surfaces.

Nothing to do with their talent or ability just the physical aspect that’s weighted firmly in the favour of the roadrunners who can stay in points for longer.

If you want more young guys coming through you gotta speed up the courts.
