Roger Federer and Tommy Haas teamed up together in Halle to play doubles for the first time. Right off the bat, you could tell it was going to be fun. They dressed in matching outfits!
Tommy managed to make Roger laugh through the warmup. Also, Roger didn’t wear a headband during the match, which was weird.
The duo did manage to produce some pretty good tennis.
And some not-so-good tennis.
Tommy had some problems staying on his feet.
And Roger struggled not to spit out his drink during the changeovers.
The Fed Twins were unimpressed.
The Fed-Haas team lost, so this partnership is over for now. I hope they do it again soon!
Love it! They had a tough draw but it was fun to watch. I’m glad you included the GIF of both guys trying to hit the same shot, which they did more than once.
Nice to see them both having fun and laughing, even if they lost.
I wanted them to win just for the continuing entertainment factor of them playing more matches, but I didn’t think they would pull it off, really, against a more ‘refined’ doubles team. Great collection of images in this post: thank you for compiling it.
So great seeing them together! Makes me sorry all over again for the brevity of the grass court season.
Fun! 🙂 Thanks for the post.
