Photo Roundup: Monday at the Sony Open

It’s 23 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside in Philadelphia, and this picture makes me wish I had booked a trip to Miami.

For our first matter of business, it’s not from yesterday, but we need to talk about how ugly David Ferrer’s shirt is:

Back to Monday. Rafael Nadal put on quite a show against Denis Istomin.

Istomin didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as the people in the audience.

It was one of those days for Maria Sharapova, as she had to claw back from a set down against Kirsten Flipkens.

Stan is still here!

In a train wreck only Ivanovic could pull off, she lost to Petra Kvitova, 6-3, 0-6, 0-6.

Fabio Fognini beat Roberto Bautista-Agut.

I’m not sure this is the most effective return strategy for Nicolas Almagro. It didn’t work; he lost in straights to John Isner.

Dominika Cibulkova fought off a strong effort from Venus Williams to reach the quarterfinals.

I think this is mid-“Pome!”

Venus’ dress was amazing.

Amy can be spotted on a tennis court in the Philadelphia area, shanking backhand volleys.
